Animal Aid has, for many years, called for the Grand National to be banned. In addition to our traditional annual protest, this year we are again promoting our popular Sanctuary Not Cruelty initiative. If you are concerned about the National, we are offering you a positive alternative to simply boycotting. This is to, instead, help two specialist sanctuaries that rescue horses in need, including ex-racehorses. Rather than placing that yearly 'flutter' on the deliberately hazardous Aintree race, why not donate the money to making a real difference to horse welfare?
|Donate to Hillside Animal Sanctuary: Help Hillside Animal Sanctuary care for their 500+ horses, donkeys and mules, including more than 50 ex-race horses saved from slaughter.|
Donate to Hope Pastures: Help Hope Pastures Sancutary take care of their 20 horses and donkeys, including ex-race horses.
